Inosuke
Hashibira

Inosuke was raised by boars on a mountain and it shows. He wears a boar's head over a face pretty enough to cause double takes, fights with two serrated blades he chipped himself, and greets anything stronger than him by challenging it to a fight. Beast Breathing is his own invention, built from nobody's school, and his body bends in ways a trained swordsman's does not: joints that dislocate on command, organs he can shift out of a blade's path.

That last trick saved his life in the Entertainment District, where Gyutaro's poisoned sickle went through his chest and somehow failed to kill him. The arc between Mount Natagumo and that fight is really the story of Inosuke learning what a comrade is. He starts by headbutting his allies and ends up naming them, mostly wrong, but naming them.

Under the noise he is a quick study with real tactical instinct; he reads terrain and group fights better than anyone gives him credit for. The softness surfaces rarely and always sideways, which makes it land harder when it does.
