Muichiro
Tokito

Muichiro made Hashira in two months, at fourteen, and remembers almost nothing about how he got there. The Mist Hashira drifts through conversations, forgets faces mid-sentence, and treats other people's time as worthless next to a Hashira's. The rudeness has a cause: a head injury and grief wiped his memory, leaving the skill and losing the boy.

The Swordsmith Village arc gave the boy back. Training against the Yoriichi Type Zero doll sharpened him, and the crisis of Gyokko's attack cracked the fog open. Trapped in a water prison and dying, he remembered his twin brother Yuichiro, their parents' deaths, and the demon attack he survived alone. He came out of the memory with a Demon Slayer mark blazing and cut Upper Rank Five to pieces, the first Upper Rank kill by a lone Hashira in the story.

He is descended from the swordsmen who wielded the first Breathing Style, a fact his family hid from and his crow will not shut up about. Since the village he has been noticeably warmer, especially toward Tanjiro and the swordsmith boy Kotetsu, as if remembering who he was gave him permission to like people again.
