Tengen
Uzui

Tengen is the Sound Hashira, a two-meter former shinobi in jewels and makeup who declares himself flamboyant the way other men state their name. The glamour is deliberate. He came out of a shinobi clan whose training killed most of his siblings, and the loud, gaudy, alive persona is his answer to a childhood that treated people as disposable. His three wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru, married a man who ordered them to put their own lives before the mission and his.

The Entertainment District arc is his: when his wives went silent undercover in Yoshiwara's brothels, he pulled Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke into the search that uncovered Daki and Gyutaro, the first Upper Rank engaged in a century. He fought Gyutaro with poison in his veins, lost his left hand and left eye, and still guided the simultaneous beheading that ended both demons.

He retired on the spot, having promised his wives he would. Retirement lasted until the Hashira training needed a first stage, where he now runs stamina drills and cheerfully humiliates trainees who thought a former Hashira would be easier.
